The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Curtis Dionne as the next General Manager of Red Deer Minor Baseball.
Throughout the selection process, Curtis distinguished himself with his thoughtful approach, strong leadership presence, and clear, process-driven mindset. It became evident that he possesses the skills, experience, and character necessary to succeed in this role. The Board has full confidence in Curtis and is excited about the positive impact he will have on RDMBA.
Curtis is a Red Deer native and a former RDMBA player who went on to compete on the Swedish National Team, reflecting both his talent and his passion for the game.
Baseball and sport have always played an important role in Curtis’s life. He has remained actively involved in his community through both coaching and board service, demonstrating a strong commitment to athlete development and community engagement.
Professionally, Curtis brings valuable experience from the finance and technology sectors, where he has led large-scale initiatives focused on improving processes, building strong teams, and enhancing organizational effectiveness. This combination of leadership and operational expertise will be a tremendous asset to RDMBA.
After spending several years in Sweden, Curtis returned to Red Deer in 2023 with his wife and two children. He is deeply invested in the community and excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of Red Deer Minor Baseball.
