Red Deer Minor Baseball is pleased to announce that Jared Greenberg will be returning as Head Coach of the 15U AAA Archon Rangers for the 2026 season.
Jared grew up in Red Deer, Alberta, where he played all of his minor baseball before continuing his career at Indian Hills Community College (IA). During his time at Indian Hills, his team made back-to-back appearances at the JUCO World Series.
He later transferred to Minot State University (ND), where he earned All-Conference honors in his senior year, leading his team in both home runs and RBIs. After graduating, Jared began his coaching career while completing his degree at Minot State, spending two seasons as the hitting coach and assisting with recruiting efforts.
Following his senior season, Jared played one season overseas with the Redlands Baseball Club near Brisbane, Australia. Upon returning home, he enjoyed a 12-season career with the Red Deer Riggers, one of Canada’s premier senior baseball teams at the time. A highlight of his career came in 1997, when the Riggers captured a National Championship, and Jared was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Over the past five seasons, Jared has served as an assistant coach with RDMBA, working within the 11U and 13U divisions. In 2025, he coached the 15U AAA Archon Rangers to a Tier 1 Silver Medal at the 15U AAA Provincials, earning the team a spot at Westerns.
Since 2023, Jared has also traveled annually to the Dominican Republic, working with 12-16-year-old players training to sign MLB contracts. There, he collaborates with a staff that includes former MiLB and MLB players, gaining valuable insight into the unique methods and culture used to teach the game.
We are excited to welcome Jared back for the 2026 season and wish him and the Archon Rangers continued success.
