It is with a heavy heart that we remember Greg Budd, who had a deep passion for baseball. From his early days in Lethbridge to his time in Red Deer, he found joy in participating in organized baseball and cherished the friendships and learning opportunities it offered. Even as he pursued his studies at Red Deer College and later in his professional career, he made it a priority to give back by volunteering as a coach whenever possible.
Tragically, Greg's life was cut short in an industrial accident. His mother, Anita, believed that supporting minor baseball, an organization that meant so much to Greg, was a meaningful way for friends and family to honor his memory. The outpouring of generosity and support shown through donations to Red Deer Minor Baseball in Greg's name has touched our hearts deeply. We are immensely grateful to the family and all those who have contributed. Greg's spirit lives on in the love and support shown for the sport he held dear.
