2025 AGM Registration

Registration is now open for our upcoming Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled for January 6th. This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the objectives of our association, highlight the achievements from 2024, present the proposed 2025 budget, and conduct elections for the Board of Directors for the upcoming term.

Red Deer Minor Baseball Association (RDMBA) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization, greatly supported by our dedicated Board of Directors. We are proud to announce that we are the third largest association in the province with 854 registrants this past season, and continuing to grow. This growth has naturally resulted in an increased demand for volunteers.

As previously communicated at our 2024 AGM, and in several email and social media messages, RDMBA has moved to a system of early board of director nominations. While nominations for the Board of Directors closes tonight, we still encourage members to attend the meeting and volunteer. Moving towards a committee-based governance model, where the RDMBA Board of Directors is supported by a small group of committees, there is still opportunity for non-board members to volunteer in this capacity. Assistance with facilities, fundraising, evaluations, and other important areas is vital to the success of our organization. Having dedicated volunteers is what will help our association flourish and remain strong.

Candidates who have submitted a nomination form for a board of director position in 2025 will be vetted prior to the AGM. This vetting process will help ensure the candidate’s credibility and ability to serve on the board of directors. All vetted and validated nominations will be circulated to members at the AGM. If there is only one valid nomination for a board of director role, the winner will be elected by ordinary resolution in accordance with our bylaws. If there are two or more valid nominations, a voting process will ensue.

Our AGM registration deadline is January 5^th. The AGM Agenda will be distributed to the membership via email, as well as, posted to our website no later than one week prior to the meeting.
