Red Deer Minor Baseball Association is pleased to announce that Desmond Bouteiller has been named Head Coach of our 15U AAA Archon Braves for the 2023 season!
Desmond along with wife Cindra and their son PJ reside in Red Deer County. Desmond has worked at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology for the past eight years and is an instructor in the Sports Management program. He sits on the Board of Directors with the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame while also being a Certified Learning Facilitator for Baseball Canada and the Coaching Association of Canada. Desmond was recently presented with the 2022 Baseball Alberta Coach Developer of the Year award. This honour follows his 2019 Wally A. Footz Builders Award and the 2015 Innisfail Chamber of Commerce’s Coach of the Year Award. He prides himself on the development and technical production of his athletes. These values have helped develop many talented baseball players and several championships. Desmond has coached provincial winners at the 22U level in 2011, 2018, and 2019, with two of these teams achieving silver medals at the Western Canada Baseball Championships. Recently Desmond coached Team Alberta’s 14U Girls team to a Western Canada championship in August of 2022.
Desmond looks forward to working with Red Deer Minor Baseball Association and their aligning principles in the 2023 season.
