Scott Murray is a product of Red Deer Minor Baseball. During this time he won two provincial titles, two little league Prairie Championships along with a Canadian National Championship finals appearance.
Scott played two seasons at Spokane Falls Community College. He was named Team MVP, League All-Star and holds the 8th highest overall career batting average.
Scott played 15 seasons with the Red Deer Riggers. He won 10 Provincial titles, one Western Canadian title, and a National Championship. Scott has played all 9 positions throughout his career and is the Rigger's all time and single-season home run leader.
 
   Scott has managed and coached various levels. Scott was the general manager of the Red Deer Riggers and was awarded the Dave Reiniger Award for leadership and commitment to the Sunburst Baseball League. Scott has also coached for both Red Deer Minor Baseball and Red Deer Rage Softball over the past decade. With Red Deer Rage, he was a head coach for U14 A and U16 A. With RDMB he was a head coach at the Peewee AAA level and last year was an assistant coach with the 15U AAA Braves. Scott is currently the director of the St. Joseph Ball Academy in Red Deer. The Academy offers Baseball and Softball programs for students from grades 6-12.
